Andy is an experienced entrepreneur, business owner and restaurateur with more than 15 years’ experience operating some of Rotorua’s most well-known bars and restaurants. After serving in the Police as a Detective for almost two decades, Andy has proudly owned and managed a number of national franchises in the hospitality industry and currently owns a craft beer Gastropub in Rotorua.
Andy has also been a judge for the Taupo Business Awards which gave him a fascinating insight into a variety of businesses and their owners.
He also helped to create “Raising the Bar”, a business group that formed to raise the expertise and profile of local businesses and was spokesman for the Rotorua Restaurant Collective, created by local hospitality business owners.
Also passionate about the outdoors, when Andy isn’t tending to his businesses, you’ll find him hunting in the mountains of the south island, casting nymphs on the Tongariro or trying to catch a marlin solo in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
