The Fourth Quarterly SME Intelligence Report is being released today via this newsletter and reveals a number of interesting trends for the business sales market. The data clearly shows the business sales market has unprecedented demand fuelled by a number of key drivers and the supply of quality businesses is below its historical average. The result has been material price increases for businesses and confirms the current environment is a “Seller’s Market”.

The attached report analyses and provides data on volumes of business sales completed, average business prices, demand & supply trends including the number of new businesses coming to market. A new addition to the report has been driven by a new partnership ABC has with Xero in regards to sharing data. We have added two pages of Xero data trends for SME businesses.

ABC Business Sales is the first organisation to share statistics related to business sales and prices, we believe it is important to further educate New Zealanders on business ownership so we can provide investment options outside of property and listed shares.
